…well that’s what it seems like. I’m continually impressed with his mad skillz. He’ll say things like, “we need to cut a door here,” and a few hours later, we have a door where a large wall once stood. And he’s done it again…
While I was in Philadelphia this weekend playing the dutiful role of bridesmaid, Joe managed to lay down our new, temporary floor. It’s thin plywood and it looks beautiful. It’s seriously nicer than many of the floors I’ve seen during the inumerable open houses we attended while shopping for our home. Also, it’s really smooth to the touch. Even though we currently do not have heat, I can imagine running around barefoot on this stuff. Check out the detail shots below. He cut some amazing angles to fit the plywood perfectly into our not so square room.

It looks great. I had no idea plywood could look this good! great job, Joe. I’m impressed, Cathy (Joe’s mother-in-law)
Ps. Philadelphia?
You caught me! It’s just easier to say Philadelphia than Harrisburg. Some people really don’t know where that is. :-)
Wow!! It’s beautiful! Looks like the finished product to me. Is one of these the “guest room” for mother/mother-in-law? Can’t wait to see it. Love, Mom
I wish we had a guest room. Currently it is a tent on the roof. Hopefully in the next month or so we’ll have a little shack in the back (see post coming soon).
Hot cuttin’ joe! Little angled cuts really get me excited. floor looks seriously boingo.
what we wouldn’t give for some “hardwood floors” like those…
Sitting on 1/8′inch frat carpet right now.
Move to Colorado and you’re hired!!
Brownbear - you should go for an upgrade. Our wood flooring works out to only about 41 cents / square foot!
