Look no further for a free resource for sustainable building materials. Ecolect.net, based in Providence and San Francisco has launched. Ecolect’s mission is to be the largest, freely accessible sustainable materials library in the world. The company is founded by two RISD grads who had been sharing their own database of sustainable materials and resources and decided to share that information with the rest of us.
If you’re in San Francisco stop by their launch party, this Thursday night at Space Gallery. Check out samples of crushed bamboo board, durat, and syndecrete with a beer.
