I’ve been obsessed lately with plants. I’m not as obsessed as my friend, Tara in Santa Barbara who owns a staggering 50+ orchids, but I do spend a lot of time obsessing over how to incorporate green, living plants into our home and garden - even our roof when we get to that stage in the renovation.
The best thing about plants is that they are inexpensive and if I’m nice, my husband can make some amazing metal and wood containers for our front entryway and garden. In essence, I have access to my very own metal and wood shop. For those of you who don’t have access to a master metal worker, there are an amazing amount of modern planters, terrariums, pots, and general indoor gardening solutions for the home. One such product is the Rahmen plant box. Designed in Germany by Bernotat & Co. and distributed by Baest this mini-herb garden would look great in a bright space and certainly be an asset for any home-chef’s kitchen. That’s pretty phat - I saw somewhere they make a growing indoor wall… Basically, it’s a scaffolding with dirt & water that allows you to plant things on a wall… About 6ft tall and 4ft wide or so…
Yeah, well i heard there is a whole house you can plant from one seed and it only takes 10 minutes to grow and it never needs water or dirt, or air…or anything.
hey biggestphan: do you mean the Treille Hanging Planter by brothers Bouroullec?
