In 2007 we got married. About a month later we bought an old house in San Francisco which included a melancholy fig tree – hence our name. We were optimistic and tore the walls down. Then talked about it on our blog, became disheartened but tried to stay positive.
A few very cold nights later and it is 2013 (!) and the house is finally getting put back together. Join us here for the second half of our story including our construction, some DIY projects, inspiration from around the web, and resources for the modern home.
